I bought the paint at my local Chevy dealer. It was not cheap however. I can't remeber exactly but it seems like $650 a gallon.

The dealer is too far to travel just to see the car. I only want to go them if I am going to but it.
Let me know your opinion.

And the comment that this will be the color to regret in years to come? Go back to sleep.
I've had nothing but positives and a helluva lot of head turning with this car.
Ordered it, waited months, DELIGHTED!!!!!
Cashmere interior looks nice too.![]()
Yes, any color should be done so good that you cannot tell where the new paint started and where it ended.YouNotRHart said:How closely can I expect a Chevy body shop to match the original color? Should it be so close a match that it is not noticeable at all?

I just signed papers yesterday ordering a Z06 in Sunset Orange!! Yes, I'm pretty excited... But I haven't seen one in person. The low numbers of orange on the road may be one reason for few people ordering it--they haven't seen the color live and hate to make a big mistake, so they order what they know they will like. My dealer said it is not a bright orange, more rusty, but picks up the sunlight very well. We'll see!
