supercharge

How long did it take to put that SC in there?

I live in Bluffton. 20 miles south of Ft. Wayne. I installed my procharger myself, the kit came with EVERYTHING that I needed, and it was pretty simple. I'm taking it to the dyno on June 4th, so we'll see what it puts down. It made 198 horse when it was stock so any improvement will be great. I am expecting around 350, i hope. I didn't have to do any tuning on my car, my procharger kit came with a high flow fuel pump and a fuel management unit to raise fuel pressure under boost conditions. I am running about 10 lbs. of boost and haven't had any problems.....yet. I have been meaning to get some pics of the car on here for you all to see, the blower looks pretty awesome when you raise the hood. definitely do your research, there are a lot of ways to get horsepower, unfortunately with vettes none of them are cheap.

Which procharger did you get, and where did you get it at?

i'll make this short sweet and clear :D

too little room/too little supercharger unless you go with atleast a D1/heatsoak/more fuel.

make sure you know what boost you are running. for every 1 lbs of boost = 20 rwhp. with that being said if you run 10 bls of boost and alot of these kits sell it with a 10 lbs pulley only. putting that kit on your stock car will blow a hole through your piston due to a lean condition and about 75 hp too much it can do even more damage and spin a bearing and wipe the crank out. too much timing equals hole in piston.

remember once you jump up 100 or more hp in these cars not only will you eventually have problems with the motor or because of the motor ie heat/lean/fire but you will most likely toast the tranny at some point along with the rear. so add about another 5-15k for parts trans/rear/shortblock and labor on top of your supercharger costs.

with that said spend 5k for a heads/cam/intake combo installed and have 400 rwhp with full bolt on's and if that doesn't do it for ya there is always Da Jug! :_rock

Okay, but you are still looking at rebuilding the entire driveline correct? So for me since my motor has been rebuilt wouldn't one of the best courses of action, would be to get a supercharger? Since I am not rebuilding this anytime soon?
