I hope this will help others;
I had a "clunk" in my front sway bar end link caused by the threads on the stock bolt (which start halfway thru the bushing (fig A), distorting the hole in the end link (fig B). Bolt thru distorted hole = "clunk" The solution (offered by an airline mechanic) was to get a bolt with a longer shaft that goes completely thru the bushing/end link and back it up with washers (fig D).
Fig C shows the stock bolt (bottom) and the replacement bolt (middle) which I cut down to prevent possible interferance. New end links were $16.50 each, new bolts were $5.00 .
