Is it common to have a rattling noise while driving 1970 Corvette coming from the tops? Either way, any ideas on how to calm it down? Thanks for any help.

I don't believe there should be any rattling unless something has loosened up or needs to be readjusted..
Take them off if you can't find what's rattling, then perhaps readjust.

Shouldnt be. You may have to adjust as Bill said. Also, check if all the shims are in their space.

This is common when your weatherstrips are so squished with old age, they don't supply the correct seal and slight tightening pressure.

I'll bet your also leaking quite a bit of water whenever you get caught in the rain.

You could try removing shims but be careful not to damage the tops.

Let us know what happens.

Thanks for the help. I am going to check it this weekend. Craig.

Rattle T-Tops

I had a rattle/creak in the front of my 76 T-Tops, I replaced the nylon bushings in the front corners and put a little grease on the T-top pins and that was the last of the annoying rattle/creak.
