T-Tops?

I have a 1975 corvette and would like to buy a pair of glass t-tops but I noticed they only fit 1978 and up. Does anyone no what has to be done to have the fit the 1968-1977 c3?

Are you talking about the one piece astro top, if so that will fit. I am not sure about individual tops.

I think you have to change the plate at the rear of the window because the later tops only use one lock handle and have a pin that slides out of the top into the plate at the top rear of the window.

If you look where your current tops lock down in the rear of it you will see a triangle shaped screw fitting. This unscrews and the new top has a pin that fits into the hole that remains. The new tops only lock down in the front. Do yourself a favor and buy them new as opposed to used or ebay, its worth it to get them new and avoid rubber rot issues, scratches, and the like.

Does anyone have this type of top installed? Kinda want to see a pic and would like to know about the fit. Any problems, etc. I was interested at one point in buying this.

The 78-82 glass tops will fit the 68-77 coupes if the 78-82 attaching hardware is used. You will need a pair of these:
