T-Tops

Can anyone tell me when replacing the weather stripping on t-tops,do you get any metal pieces with the strips.
I am looking at one of mine and the side is rusted under the weatherstripping. It looks like the rubber is under part of the metal.
Or is the metal supposed to be good,and you have to take it off to get the rubber on?

On my '78 the outside edge has a metal strip made into tue rubber. There are 3 or 4 short screws that attach it to the T-top, the rest of the rubber has littie plastic tits that insert into ths T-top frame.

thx b.... I started to remove it,but the one end was so rusted I was not sure what to do.

I looked at it again and removed more rubber,and it seems that mine are the same.

My '81 tops (glass) are the same way....
