Tach

I installed a new HEI distubutor cap and now my tach doesnt work it is plugged in the right place at least I thought. Anybody have this problem before and how do I trouble shoot this.If I plugged the tach wire into the bat. post on the cap would this take out the board on the tach? Thanks

The Tach worked before ????

Putting the Tach wire on a 12 volt post could have casued some damage.
I'd have the TACH checked out first,they're very fragile and don't like surges at all....email me

aerie, did you plug the tach wire into the batt side or the tach side of the distributor?
