I'm curious and looking for a Teak steering wheel for my 67...I know the center has to be different to clear the turn signal stalk...anyone know of a place making the Teak wheel for 67's?

The difference is the step to mount it on the steering bell. The wheel is the same all the way from 1964-67. On a 1967 the bottom stainless spoke is under the two side spokes. Check ebay they are always for sale there. $500 seems to be the running price. oWEN

Funny you should ask...:D

My wife got me one for Christmas this past year.
She ordered it from Paragon...wonderful people to do business with!

No problem installing it.
Everything you'll need is in the box.

It ain't right...but it sure is purty!:upthumbs

Funny they didn't even change the box.. That is an Eric Freeman wheel.... He is out of Charlotte,NC... I think he sells them out right for 500 right now... If you peel the whited out sticker it'll say Freeman's.... Red background with a FD on the Left and Freeman Designs on the right... If you want to take your pic he is at Corvettes at Knoxville every year recently at both the fall show and the spring show... He has a spot and parks his 66 black coupe there full of teak wheels. They are absolutely the best....

I have one of Eric's teak wheels on my '67; when you specify it's for a '67, he includes a crescent-shaped stainless filler piece with two screw holes in it that fills the gap between the wheel center and the recess in the '67 hub. I have a stock wheel for judging, but I prefer the "feel" of the wood wheel for driving. :)

I bought a wheel from Eric Freedman directly for my '67 and it comes with a spacer to fill in the void for 67s. Highly reccommend.

Hey JohnZ, Sagnoff and Dave,
Nice posts. I'm grateful.
I'm always learning something here and it's people like you that make our obsession with these cars a fun thing.

I enjoy and appreciate your feedback.

Thank you. :beer
