Hi all,
While going over all of the wiring on my car, I discovered that the kickdown switch that is attached to the gas pedal is disconnected (only on turbo 400 transmissions). I tested the switch to see if it works, and it does. However, I do not seem to be getting any current from the harness that plugs into the switch, and the wire is quite difficult to trace. Any ideas to help diagnose this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Vince

run a hot lead to the tranny with a temporary switch and go for a ride and flick it on , if the tranny kickdown works and the switch is working put an inline fuse into the "switched by ignition" wires and run a lead to the switch and disconnect the old power wire.this will make it work and also the fuse will keep it safe. mike
