After reading many posts and buying an 84 Vette with 48k miles, I owe thanks to everyone here. I've learned so much here that it's hard to believe and I just used that new-found knowledge to help with my first major purchase for the new Vette.
After asking everyone locally about what tires to buy to replace the original Goodyears that were worn out, I had so many conflicting opinions that I couldn't decide what to do. After reading all the recommendations for the Firestone SZ50's, and the reviews on Tire Rack, I went with them even though they were more expensive. They met every expectation and then some! The vette rides better, is much quieter and handles like a dream! It isn't the same car as it was with the old tires.
I don't think you can go wrong with the SZ50's.
Thanks again for all the helpful info!
