Optima or Delco. Any help. To gel or not?

unless your concerned about staying with a more stock appearance i'd go with the Optima, they are great batteries

I have a Delco in my car and it's "OK" but nothing to rave about. I should have gone for the optima but I wanted something that looked a bit more appropriate for the car.
we used optima batteries a lot when I was in the car audio industry and they always worked out very well with no pronlems.

mostly everybody (but me) around here goes with the optima, no maintenance with spilled fluid/efflorescence on the terminals

Me?...i just buy whatever's on sale and fits and has at least 700CCA, big block, or small block, no matter....the highest CR i've run with that battery is the sb when it was 10.25:1.......the batteries last about 6/7 years and they are ALWAYS on a smart battery tender

Picked one up between calls today at the local AutoZone. Need to bring the dead one back for the core charge. Mark.
