Usually, Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter is the guy answering the questions.

He answered most of mine recently as we hammered a 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 convertible on the roads around the General Motors Proving Ground in southeast Michigan.

Of course, he skillfully dodged my attempts to bring out any details on the next-generation Corvette, known as the C7. That car makes its debut early next year.

But in the friendly banter after our drive, Juechter had a question for me: “What would you change for the next Corvette?”

So, what would you change for the C7 Corvette?

Should be easy to answer but I have to stop and think........I think the look of the car will be a big factor. Will it be an update of the C5/C6 or will it be a more radical change. I think I am ready for some inovation there.

Dependability and reliability will be at the top of the list as it is introduced. No weird glitches would be nice.

I think they will have addressed most of the common bitches about the C5/C6.

Who are they focusing on marketing to? Boomers or the younger set. Can you please both? Will the cost of making a world class car relegate it to the older guys who may have the money? Will a less expensive V6 model even sell to the younger set? Is it a blue collar sports car or has it moved up and out of range in this economy? Will it always sell about 12K cars a year, what has to happen to make that change?

These are the things I ponder as I await the C7.....;shrug

I'm lost on that one Tuna.......I do have some Facebook stock I would gladly sell ya.........;LOL

I'm sure one or two of the funds I own bought into Facebook, so I'm all stocked up.

The commentary part of the article requires you to supply your Facebook login information before they will accept your post. I'm not on Facebook, so I can't respond to the article.

Ok....I think I understand that but how do you know its from Facebook from the original post Rob made? Never been on Facebook, I just buy their stock.....

:L:L
That's a question which should have been asked in 2009 not in 2012, six months away from the C7s debut at the Detroit Auto Show.

I'll add that a precursor of what's to come, at least visually, is Peter De Lorenzo's comment on his "Autoextremist" site this morning....

The Next Corvette. The rumblings from within are that GM designers have "hit one out of the park" with the seventh-generation Corvette. We shall see, but we'd be shocked if it sucked. The Corvette is one car GM Design definitely knows how to do.

The 425 or so horsepower 5.5L DGI'ed lighter and (presumably) better handing C7 NEEDS to be a home run. Hopefually De Lorenzo is right.

I tried to make a comment and it asked for my Facebook information and would not accept anything else.

Weird, that did not happen to me........anyway since I am an owner of Facebook I give you permission to comment anytime you want........:thumb
