This year the crew might have been the most important part of the championship. The drivers did a great job, but the series rules made the Vette uncompetitive in almost half the races as shown by straightaway speed and qualifying. I'd say pit strategy and pit stop duration won at least two races this year. That was easily the championship difference. Great job by the the guys behind the wall.
