Hi Everyone, I hope you all have been enjoying the summer. Really hot here in Maine.

Just click on it and it will take you to my blog. (save as a favorite or to your desktop) This is where I will post daily pictures and information on the trip. I will also use the forums for pictures and updates , but will try to stay in forum guidelines. The blog will have more of the general interest stuff. I will be working on it over the next few weeks leading up to my departure date of August 2.
Trip calender and destinations:
On the blog you will see a calender. It shows just one week at a time, but if you click on the little Goggle button on the bottom of calender ( you can barely see it) (I am working on it) it will open up the full 90 day trip calender. If you sign up as a follower (button on blog site) you will receive notifications of new posts , I think.
These are projected dates for each state and location. After about 2 weeks, the dates might very by 24 to 48 hours, depending on sites of interest, BBQs, late nights and the car working without any down time.
I will call ahead to members who wished me to stop by at least 2 to 3 days ahead.
My budget is $100 per day for the trip. That will include gas ($60). I have $40 left over for camp sites and food. A guest room or backyard to set up my tent would be appreciated whenever possible.
I will have a laptop for email and forum posts. Two cameras and one movie camera.
I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible.
Email or PM me if you have any questions or want to confirm a stop . In some states, I hope we can have some central meeting places, as I can't drive to all locations. I will need your help in setting that up.
Once on the road, I am sure things will fall in place, and I hope , not out of my car.
