Thank goodness for your quick reflexes. I think I would try the roulette wheel next.

So I was thinking about this last night .

Is the car insured yet?
Larry,

It is, but I don't think I'd be up to tackling the wide-body job again. Too much work and too much time.

With the insurance money, I'd just buy a Civic with Type R stickers and go Z-06 hunting. :D

HOLY SH--, today IS a lucky day for you!!!!!!! REALLY GLAD everything is OK.:(

yipe yipe yipe......

I wouldn't know what to do without the updates and pics you provide on the restore.

Glad you and family (and the car) are fine!

I dont know I have been counting your money lately i think it would be a civic a Z06 and maybee a boat also

Glad to hear you caught it in time. That is one sweet car your building.

Damm..Heaven,...Close one. Now you got me thinking about mine. I have a standard end of the house vent fan on a thermostat.

Well since I'm a hi tech guy maybe I'll get me one of them there Heh-Lony type sytems with a sprinkler backup and a remote dial out to a beeper fire warning caller.

All kidding aside....glad to hear you caught the flare up before it got out of control. I will be checking my attic fan this week end and reviewing my fire saftey protocols in the garage area.:beer

Yeah me too. This is a good safety heads up for me. Thanks Heaven

Glad you were there when you needed to be. This reminds me of a story in The Restorer Several years ago about a NCRS member that was working on his midyear convert. Needed some small part and left for the parts store. Hit the garage door button as he drove out of the driveway.

When he returned the fire dept was there. The door opener stuck and didn't shut off when it closed. Caught fire and eventually burned it'self free from the ceiling falling in flames into the open interior of the midyear. Pretty well burnt up the car too. It seems that he admitted to not having a breaker in that circuit but I can't say that for sure.

Even to this day I'm not comfortable just closing the garage door and driving away. Now none of you will be either. :L

That's a good one. I was actually out driving my turbo Miata yesterday and came across non Z-06 C5 yesterday and decided to give him a run from about 30mph on.

Stayed right but him the whole time. Fun to surprise folks.

But never race from a standing start, I got no torque :L

Only in Canada, eh? Thank God! Maybe a "real" air conditioner, with proper grounding (not just corvettes need grounding).

Just kidding of course!:) Glad you were able to save her!
Hal!

Well, Ken, to be more "correct", I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Moved to Cal-I-Forn-I-A in 1981, and became a US Citizen in September of 2003. But I believe I retain Canadian Citizenship as well, so I'm a "Dually"!

But not much beats the beaches of LA in the summer! The "views" are "exceptional". :D And lots of great cars!!!

Hal!

I think Bob would like the view from your backyard (or is it frontyard? :L) :cool
