I know what happened

BV always has had a problem shifting so i was told from another forum and forum member named (SW) that BV has put an automatic in "her" I mean HIS Z.. so he's not going to take a pic of the shifter out of PURE embarrassment!!!!!!!!!

How else would he be taking all those pics and shifting???

I resent the 'ricer' remark, since there is no 'ricer' things like wings, stupid wheels, worthless paintjobs with stickers of things not used, etc. The car was designed to beat 'ricers', since most import tuner cars are pretty darn slow. Once in a while we go to 'sport compact day' at Rock Falls Raceway just to show all the import what performance really is all about.

Is that really your car in that video? I don't remember what mods were done to your car, but it certainly pulls a nice trap speed. (Maybe just a different air filter or a cold air intake or something like that?)

In all seriousness, I have seen this video posted ALL over, on hundreds of forums, and you folks are some of the best sports. Your level is respect is among the highest I have seen (where the Mustang boards tend to be the lowest).

In case you wanted to know: the car is a 1985 Dodge Omni GLH with a 2.2l (135ci in big-iron-speak) turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The engine has been rebuilt with forged pistons, the head ported, the turbocharger upgraded, and large intercooler installed. Race weight is 2450lbs and it makes 333hp to the (front) wheels. It has been running 11s for five years with a best pass of 11.301 @ 117mph which is linked above.

Please know that many of the recent Z06 people here are refugees from a far distance......

BlackZ28Turbo, me, Roadfrog, TonysTorch, slong,.......the list goes on!

We do make fun of each other and someone who doesn't know us will take us literally. But yeah, that is NOT my car in the video. I do have some mods, Cags eliminator, blackwing, LS6 edit, cooling bybass. I have never raced on the track before.

But yeah, it is nice to hear the comments how we are good sports and even more thankful that the CAC opened their home to us refugees. There has been a lot of new posts here on Z06.

I also find the Edge to be quite stimulating.

Looks like you have built what we called a "sleeper" and are having a blast with it. I remember reading somewhere that todays Hot Rodder has limited choices in what they have to work with, that affordable cars to Mod are just not availabe like they were in the sixties and seventies. I'll bet you have a lot of fun just cruising around
