The Wave Is Still Alive

Sometimes, getting someone to wave back is like :BDH but if you're persistent enough eventually you'll get someone to :w back. If you act too weird all you're going to get back is the :finger and when that happens all you want to do is :r. I :v which, to me, is very :pat so head on down to your local :bar and share a :grouphug: with other Vette owners.

There are sooo many Vettes in the Huntsville, Alabama, area that my arm gets wore out going to the grocery store for some grub!! :W

Oddly enough, we have one more thing in common. Like my father, you were born in the year the first vette was produced, and I was born the only year since then they were not produced!!! Just something interesting :)

I have caught myself waving to several other nice muscle cars, and vettes too, when I am out tooling around in my Trans Am. I would say 50% of the time I get a thumbs up or something.

I did get something never before received. A guy in a Lexus, passenger, started clapping at me. I was driving my Trans Am. This was a first.

Yes, that is interesting;) Not to mention that you were the first person to respond to me when I first joined this website. :beer

Doin Da Wave

I was out with my wife for a drive in Ole Ruby on Saturday, waved to a guy in a C5 vert and he waved back! So thanks to the guy in Marietta for a wave.
Now I must say that my wife thinks this wave thing is...um...weird (that's the nice way of saying what she thinks about it). But I wave to Vettes even when I'm driving my Subaru which really makes her day :boogie
Keep on waving, sometimes it's fun pushing wifeies buttons.:thumb:w

i never get a wave in my parts.

Four of five 'vettes I saw during my Corvette Drive this weekend gave the wave. Three C5s and one C6. The one who didn't was a C5.

I wave all of the time, however, if the top is up on the convertible or I'm in the coupe with the windows up, the other vette may not see the wave, whether I initiate it or return it. So I always believe that when I see a vette with the top up or the windows closed, the other driver is returning the wave. No excuse for a driver in a vert with the top down, unless the driver does not see my vette or wave. It's really great when on a cruise and one passes a corvette (or I am the one passing a lot of corvettes), just roll down the window and keep a long salute. Should get plenty of opportunity this weekend at Vettes on the Rockies. I've been waving since 1960 and my arm has never gotten tired. So, as LT4Man says, save the wave.

Vettes on the Rockies? Tell me more! Is there a link?

Vettes On The Rockies is an annual event by the Looking Glass Corvette Association Corvette Club, held every summer in Breckinridge and Frisco, Co. You can find out more about it at
lgcacorvette.org or Google Vettes On The Rockies.
To participate in the events, one must register during the early months of the year. I believe it is full this year, but one can go up and see all of the corvettes, especially on Sunday for the car show in Frisco, CO.

Thanks Barrett! I'll keep it in mind for next year. Hopefully I can find some time to at least go and see all 'vettes this year. I doubt I will be able to as it is my younger daughter's birthday this weekend and my elder daughter is coming into town, but if I can fit it all in, sounds like fun. :)

I got a wave from a C5 while I was driving my G8. Go figure...I waved back too. :w

Wave

I'd give the Charlottesville, VA area a 66-75% on waving mostly C4, C5, and C6's not too many around during the week but mostly on sunny Sundays.

Keep 'em rollin' :W.... and save the wave :w.

Bill

I went 1 for 2 today. Both C4's. Same thing, the guy in the other C4 vert didn't even look my way. Unbelievable.

The last couple of weeks, every Vette I saw waved. Including several C6s and C5s. What a surprise, huh? :W

The only one that did not wave was a C4 convertible (top down) with two women chatting. I guess the conversation was more interesting than my Vette! :L

WHILST OUT CRUISING TODAY, DO NOT FORGET TO SAVE THE :w!
