Please remember, before you read any further, that this is just my opinion, and I am putting it on papaer to see if anyone else feels the same way. Last Saturday, I went to the Jacksonville International Car Show and sat in and examined about 25-30 interiors in European and Japanese sport coupe and sedans. I examinaed the materials used, and went with cars that had a price tag of over $35,000.00. You know what??? They all looked the same. They all had those aluminum accents and with very similar center consoles and a grayish to black type of plastic texture to the rest of the dash. Now I look at the pictures of the C6 interior, and I've seen about 50, and it looks just like all of the rest with the same material and accents. The interior looks like it has now conformed to the norm. When I look at the dash in my C5, I see a uniqueness that I never saw in other cars that I sat in over the years. Yes there have been a lot of complaints about the quality of the material used based on sight and feel, but it always had the special look that set it apart from all the rest. I was really hoping for something unique in the C6. I believe that they were more concerned about going with the flow and adding more electronic gadgets to keep up with the Jones. I do believe that the C6 will be the best Corvette ever produced. It will dispaly the best of the best. It is just my opinion, that GM has compromised the uniqueness of the Corvette by trying too hard to please the European and Japanese market with a very "same-same" interior.
