Would someone please explain what the differences in the Thermostat
temperatures mean? Also, which temp T-stat is stock/recommended
for my '94 LT1? And regarding a newly purchased Water Pump—are the "O" rings or ring incorporated in the pump or purchased separately? Thankyou

The stock thermostat for your 94 is 18O*.

Your thermostat will be fully open at the advertised temp.

Autozone/Advance carry: 180 in stock, 160 can be ordered (word on the street is cold is better, I will remain neutral) Try doing a search on this forum and see why.;shrug

Advance/Autozone ought to come with the gaskets, check the box before leaving the store. Count a total of 2.

If your a GM parts purist order one from AC Delco and hope it comes with them in the mail.

Any question you could EVER have about your car is located in the following link:

just keep in mind that the fans also control the temp..If you put in a 160* t stat, the fans still won't come on until 226*. You must reprogram the fans to come on sooner to take advantage of a lower t-stat.
