Folks,

It's winter up here in New England and the Vette's been stored since mid October. I go through this every year but somehow this year seems worse. Sure the snow is nice to look at and it makes these little towns up here look so "Norman Rockwell". But I'm pretty sure Norm didn't own a Corvette. Well only three more months to go. I'm sure I'll be OK if I stay on my medication.

It's worse for you since you can't even look at your car unless you drive over to my house ;LOL. How many more days until Carlisle :D.

Stay on those meds, old Pal.
:w

I got it even worse. Just bought mine about a week ago and the only place it's been driven is straight to the garage. However, here in Kansas City we're supposed to have some mid 50 degree weather and sunshine this weekend, and there's no snow on the ground. I REALLY want to get it out, but the roads still are covered with remnants from the salt and sand trucks. Probably gonna get it out anyway, because I can't stand just to look at it anymore.

Getting out of town

I'm looking for a two day window where I can pack the old girl and head South to the Daytona 500 and a month in the keys.

Hey Remo:

Stick a set of Falkin Snow Tires on her and get out there!

Geez Don - that sounds like a good plan. BTW - I love your home town. That is one of the nicest villages on the New England cost line. And I especally like those Mystic Pizzas. Usually at least one good Corvette show each year in your town.

Califorina is such a great state to own a Vette in (and drive it almost every day).
Around 70 and clear today.
As they say "GO WEST YOUNG MAN". :D:w:w

You could always move here to sunny Las Vegas where today it will probably top out at around 65. Just remember that in the summer it is not unusual to see 115 in the shade. Been here since 1969 when my father retired from the US Air Force and dragged the clan here from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. If you haven't been here in a year or so it is a new town. They don't preserve anything here and the town changes almost daily. I do miss the Autum changing of the leaves and 4 seperate seasons. Here it is either HOT or what we call cold.

Consider your good fortune and priviledge of even having a Corvette to miss.

Remo you need Guy to set up 3 or 4 webcams in his garage so you can log in and watch her sleeping.

We're going to have a upper 50's day here tomorrow so I'am getting the C5 out of the garage! I get to do that a couple of times a month and that helps to get me through the winter!:D

Ron,

That's not a bad idea. I spent some time in CA and as I recall Roseville can get pretty hot in the summer. And as I also recall that's the home town of Teddy Bruschi (LB) for the New England Patriots (this years obvious choice to win the Superbowl).

I think I will root for the Patriots this year. Yes it does get a little toasty here but not like Vegas.

korvettekarl, when we get to Vegas I'll give you a call.

Tom,

You do have a way with the words. This Falkin deal is something that several of us have had fun with for years (i.e. i have a new set of falkin Goodyears on my Vette). I'm still laughing;LOL .

;LOL I have searched for that Falkin thread forever and still haven't found it. As I recall, it began with a question about Falkin tires to which someone responded they were "Falkin round" ... I think.

At any rate, I thought it was one of the funniest threads I've read here.

So today, Clearwater is Falkin cloudy and cold. (only 52 deg.) :cry
