And Tom - notice how the spelling had been revised from Falken to Falkin. This way we avoid any falkin law suites.

Smart thinking! The last thing anyone of us wants to have to deal with is a falkin attorney! :upthumbs

Hey Remo:

Stick a set of Falkin Snow Tires on her and get out there!

:L

Really? The TCS wasn't enough? I have made it almost 3/4 through a German winter- and yes, these people WILL drive their Porsches with snow tires!!

Long live the C5 as the all-weather Vette!!

I don't know about the rest of you "Falkin" guys, but I had a great day today. the Z06 got out the garage for the first time in a week. (Actually had to dust her off.) And she was eager to hit the road again- cripes, there were times I was worried my Z06 had become Christine, she was so aggressive on the streets today.

My plan was to run a few errands, and give the Z a chance to breathe and appreciate a fairly nice Saturday in early February. I ran those errands, and I have to admit, on her own (without any input from me) she seemed intent to draw attention from the cops today! She would make these odd noises, sort of like irritated sighs, when a cop pulled up next to us at light. And when the light changed, I swear to God, the Z would react in first or second gear like she was ready to make a run for the border!

Bad girl! :) Well, perhaps not that bad. But I was a bit suprised at how eager she was to get out and slay any potential competitor on the road in short order.

End of story, I got the errands run. My appetizers for the Superbowl party my parents are throwing are preliminarily finished. I'll get the final touch done tomorrow afternoon at their place. And all this cooking got me motivated to make one of my killer batches of spaghetti. The ground beef and Italian sausage have been browned, the onion, garlic, green and red pepper, mushroom, oregano, basil, cilantro have been blended with a pesto, garlic, tomato and cheese sauce. As I write this, the odor wafting from the kitchen is a joyful playground for the olfactory senses. At an appropriate point, I will sweeten it by adding a bit of Shiraz. (Adding sugar is just so WRONG!) It will simmer, tempting me with it's festive aroma, for at least another hour. And then it will heaped upon angel hair pasta for my sensory delight.

And I may just have to watch a movie with dinner. Hotel Rwanda? Ray? Something worthy of my spaghetti... I'll let you know.

So, did the weather improve for you "falkin" guys in the "falkin" northeast?
:L

Patrick,

I want that spaghetti recipe.

We took the vette out today... 60 degrees, windows down...finding reflections anywhere we could.

Here's one in the wheel of an old truck. I couldn't tell, but I don't think they were falkin tires on it :L:

Tammy

DANG! I wish I'd thought of that, Tammy. I stopped at a certain brand new Chevrolet Dealership to find out when they would be shipped their allocation of new C6's for me to oogle over- answer: last week of February/first week of March. :( I hate the waiting!

As for the spaghetti formula... what, do you think I write these things down? Spaghetti expermentation and serendipity! Okay, I'll send you some basic framework stuff. The important thing to remember about Spaghetti is that you do a lot of prep work, cutting and chopping. Spaghetti shouldn't be some forumalic equation, it should be about what seems appropriate given the mood! Go with it, Tammy, don't be afraid! Experiment and find what you like! That's better than any recipe I could write.

By the way... the Shriaz is adding some very nice flavor! I'll have to make a note of that.

We just got back from Toledo, I wanted to take the tops off but my wife said NO!!!!!! ;LOL T-shirt weather for us Mid-westerners.

I like my Spaghetti with chopped up garlic cloves sauteed in butter and Olive oil and plenty of Parmasean cheese.

The weather here, (Toronto, Canada) is hit and miss.

On the good days, I get the car out. Today we had 1C and sunny. I was out and about. It does cure the winter blahs!

Now just wait till we get 20C and sunny. O-yeah!

Feelin' those 'Vette Blues....

Hey Remo, & Everybody :w

Remo, just to let you know, that of all places, EVEN here in the desert, it get's pretty damm cold ! Am I missing my 'Vette.... You Damm Skippy !:L However, when them blues come a callin' I just log onto the CAC, look at my sig pic, and those of my friends... (YOU,GUY, et al) remeber the great times we have had in the SE Gang, and that usually gets me thru ! Now, if that doesn't help, maybe the start of planning a trip down for a good 'ole southern style BBQ ala SE style can help distract you ? I will be back in the states shortly, and hopefully, we can all get together for a BBQ at Len's, (He HAS graciously offered ;) ) and maybe even make it a "slay the dragon" type affair ? All right, enough of my rambling's... Miss you guy's, and I will be back soon !

Steve.

Hello & Welcome...

Let me just say, Hello, Welcome to the CAC, and "Nice to meet 'Ya Vette Dawg". I hope your keepin' everything straight there in P-Cola for me, and if you go by "Leo's Automotive" give Tammy a big squeeze for me, and rub my '99 on the fender for me ? Tell my GRA GST that I will be home soon, and we'll be tearing up Holt in no time...

Shiraz is a varietal of red wine. I put about a glass-worth in the spaghetti sauce, and finish the rest of the bottle off myself. This was a mistake, as I had already had a couple of vodka tonics by this point, and the Shiraz went right to my head. :(

Never did get to see the movie...
