Low vacuum WILL run rich

Yikes! What a mess in the engine!

That vacuum (very low) will tell the ECM that the throttle is open a lot and therefore to dump in more fuel. The cam may be causing the low vacuum, as you say there are no vacuum leaks.

With the mish mash of parts there, I don't se how the computer knows what is going on or how to control it. The SYSTEM needs help from a pro $$$$$.

yea another member said that too, so Im just going to go ahead and run mass air and ditch the speed density system, believe it or not aside from the car surging and running rich it runs far better than it ever did with the rochestor feedback carb, so Im hoping with the mass air setup I will be able to go see the referee and get my smog cert. and be back on the road again, who know if I dont sell the speed density system its going to replace the cfi on our vette.
