I was curious to know if anyone has instaleed the Edelbrock High Performance 52mm throttle body and if so, was there an inprovement?? Thanks.

The intake, runners, plenum on your car was originally designed for the 5.0 ltr. G.M later adapted it to the 5.7 ltr. for the 85 C4. One of the reasons why the set up on a 5.7 ltr. is so short of breath. In order to make and see a real difference, you need to up modify/upgrade the intake, runners and port the plenum in conjuction with the 52mm throttle body. The gains made by the throttle body itself is not worth the investment.

A 52mm TB will do nothing for you, the 48mm stock TB is plenty for a 350, even with a Superram on top.

When you require the 750cfm the 52mm provides, then you need it. But the L98 will not come close to needing that much air unless you really do something radical.

Your money would be better spent on exhaust, or larger runners or a larger base manifold
