Hey Guys,
A few months back I bought an 85 corvette that came with an edelbrock base and accel super ram intake on it, I think a 52mm throttle body, 24lb injectors, etc. Motor was hurt on this car so I did not drive it. I changed the motor and am going through all the wiring/hookups before fire up.
This is my first TPI car and my first corvette.
I noticed that fuel rails on this car are Fbody, not Ybody. I built some new fuel lines and things are good there.
I now notice that at WOT the throttle only opens 3/4s or just under. Upon further inspection I notice the throttle cable is too long. The previous owner must have had the same problem but either did not know about, or choose not to do anything about it.
I am just wondering if this is common with the super ram, and/or what my solution is? Can I buy a kit to shoten the cable? Or should I just look for a new cable alltogether?
Thanks,
Igor.
