Had the 700R4 rebuilt in my '89 and got it back today. While there I took them a new GM TV cable because I thought that my old was was stripped out.
The problem was that under a full throttle acceleration, the TV cable would pull out and reset the shift points. I thought that the cable was bad, but after replacing it, I still have the same problem.
What controls the throttle stop on the L98? For whatever reason, the TV cable is the stopping point on mine, and that doesnt seem correct. I looked for anything that could possibly be missing, but it appears in order.
Is the throttle cable stretched or something like that?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!!

Thank you!!!

I have had that cable all over this place, set, reset, burnt fingers, set again...

Hopefully this will be the cure. I'll find out in the morning.
