I installed Z06 ti mufflers , one is a little lower, how do you align, do you put a spacer in the rubber hanger, thanks Jim.

Stock mufflers are very quiet to say the least. If it was an aftermarket muffler, you can usually tell because they'll have their name brand on the muffler.RCG said:Jim D;
How do the Ti mufflers differ in appearance from the stock? I bought my '99 coupe used and can't figure out if a previous owner swapped mufflers or not.
Tnx.

Assuming '99s are like '02s, stock is 4 small oval tips - Z06 are round, larger and look like - Ti - sage/purple color from the heat.RCG said:Jim D;

Depending on how much misalignment you have, you can get a lot of mileage out of rotating the pipe at the flange connection. Some guys have filed the holes into a slot, or turned down the bolt shanks to allow more rotation.Jim D said:I installed Z06 ti mufflers , one is a little lower, how do you align, do you put a spacer in the rubber hanger, thanks Jim.
