Peter G,

Thank you for investigating this issue. With over 35 years in the automobile repair industry, I understand the engineer's explanation completely.

Thank the Lord your hearing is so precise. Not all of us would even be aware of a noise! :L

SAVE THE :w

Thank you for such a detailed explanation. It is exactly the type of noise I have been hearing. I just got back from a dealer today and I took the tech for a spin. He did not notice any sounds that were not normal. Once I pin pointed the sound I was hearing, he agreed that he too heard it but it was normal. They let me drive another vette, but it was an automatic. I am pretty sure I heard the same noise coming from that car when we reved it up and got higher rpm's. Hard to duplicate because it was not a manual transmission. I feel so much better after hearing the noise and honestly, after driving the car around more and more, I am learning to tune it out. I love my c6 and feel blessed to even have one. I guess it is just natural for a vette owner to be so sensitive to sounds coming from his/her car. And you're right, no one else can hear that noise unless I tell them about it. Your post was very helpful and I appreciate it. Thanks Peter!
Jeremy:cool

You know something that gets on my nerves? When the salesman brought the other car around for me to drive, we got to talking and he had the nerve to say "Why didn't you buy a Z06? All my friends drive Z06's and they don't have any problems." I was so offended and then I said to him "What do you drive?" He just laughed it off. I swear no matter where I go everyone asks me the same question "Why didn't you buy a Z06?" If I could afford one, I would of bought one. I am very happy with my car and its payments:L.

Thank you everyone for your replies and your welcomes. I am still trying to learn how to upload pics, so as soon as I get it right I will post pics. Have a nice day everyone!

Nice car!!!! How did you get your picture so big?:cool

The chassis feels almost "wooden" as there is virtually zero flexion now. It sounds the same as there was no exhaust change.
I had the tunnel plate installed to aleviate the heat issues. It still heats up, only now it takes an hour and a half to do so. (It used to take about 15-20 minutes with the stock plate.) The plate I had installed is .250" and ceramic coated. The stock plate is...
