Help! tire pressure limitations !!!

Howdy!....What a great feeling to find out I'm not the only one that prefers higher pressure in my tires!.....

I found out about that goofy DIC warning message a while back when gas was over 4 bucks a gallon.....Like you, I got tired of having to hit the reset button 5 times every 5 miles at least!....

Junk, this sounds exactly like the tip I've been wanting too!....Thanks man!....

IMHO, I'll gladly trade tire wear and tread life for a better ride, more precise control and MUCH better milage to boot!

Any idea what pressure sets of the warning message?.....

Have you priced a set of tires lately, with mounting and tax? No way you are going to save enough in fuel to offset the cost of tires, especially when they wear out way too soon. 2-3 psi, maybe 5 psi over manufacturer suggestion is one thing, but 15 psi is going to cause problems in the long run. Not so sure about the precise control and better ride either. No flame intended.

I Run 2 lb more in the rear and 4 lb more in the front,I then run the Positive Caster back to 6.0+ with about .2 lead on the right front with with 0 camber all the way around!!:thumb It's a bit of a hand full above 140 MPH,but I've got even tire ware!!:thumb:thumb:thumb I don't drive that fast very often and I've got a Iron Claw Grip!:D

oops, I didn't mean I run them at 45-50 psi......I run 10psi MAX over the recommended pressure....usually, 5-8 psi average....

LLC5, no worries man, everyone has different views on stuff like this....

I currently run some " EL CHEAPO" Sumitomo HTR Z II's and they only cost 94 bucks each!.....

Less than 400 bucks total!.....I had the Goodyear F1's at over 385 each, so I'm assuming this is the price you're referring to....

So, in my case, 400 bucks total, and I have better gas milage, and what "feels" to me like better response, handling and ride......Again, this is with the Sumitomos only.....

I ran my previous F1's at the recommended pressure, or a couple of pounds higher.....and got over 25K out of them....

No worries man, hey it's FRIDAY!....... ;)
