New one on me...trying to remove front tires and one of the lug nuts appears to be round with slots in it (haven't checked the rear tires yet). What kind of a tool is necessary to remove that lug nut? Thanks, Craig

A SPECIAL SOCKET IS REQUIRED SUPPLIED WITH THE CORVETTE WHEN NEW.
ANTI THEFT LUG NUT.

Thanks, now will have to search for that socket. I don't think it is anywhere in the car that I know of. Thanks again...Craig

I lost mine (a senior moment) and they are a b!tch to get off without a key. I got a tire store to do it. They pounded a 12 point socket (don't know the size), then used that to remove the lock. I did get another set of locks, but I am ordering an extra 'key'.

Look in the back under the left edge of the cargo hatch. I think there was an indentation for it to fit there on my '97.

Had a tire shop remove the locks and will replace with regular lug nut. Do not want to deal with that again. Thanks for the help all.
