I've had good luck with BF Goodrich G Force Sports on my 89 vert. This is my third set and I currently have about 145,000 miles on the car. Think I paid about $160.00 each last year for this set. Total bill was right around $700.00 for mounting/balancing/new valve stems and replacement warranty for all four tires.
And, they're made in the USA.

Great thanks, I'll check them out

And while I'm thinking of it, one of my friends really likes the Kumho tires on his Vette. Also a reasonably priced tire.

Have you been on the Tire Rack site to look at options/reviews of tires for your Vette?

Mine is sporting its third set of Goodyear tires. I ran one set of BFGs for a while and they were okay; ten the car sat, those tired s got very hard an slippery. In my recollection, I don;t remember them sticking like any of the G/Ys but the tire life (35k) on the first two sets of Gatorbacks was incredibly good. They got noisy as the tread wore down.

A pal recommended Kumhos to me a few times, but given some critical comments I read, that also seemed more credible than many T/R posts, I waited for the new set of Goodyears from my local fav tire shop. I am happy with this set, so far. Last I checked, they were US made, too. Many times, higher cost is financially a better decison, when offset by utility, i.e., service life.

There once was an article, written by a guy in the tire business that claimed the G/Y manufacturing process was superb. That, too, had credibility.

I like Michelin tires, for roundness, ride and wear. I'v enot, however sprung for a 'Vette set', yet. :eyerole :w
