Hey guys, went out in the vette today and experiance something odd, i had about 1/4 tank depending on if i was on flat ground or not:) sometimes a little less, i pulled out and turned Right and gunned it...it took off then acted as if someone pinched the fuel line for a split second and then picked back up and got on down the road...it doesnt do this from a dead stop going straight, only when i turn it and gun it...im thinking maybe all the fuel in the tank is sloshing to the side and for a split second the fuel pump runs out of fuel then picks back up again... what do you guys think?

That is exactly what it is. My brothers 86 does this. I do not know why mine does not though. I would not recommend running it that low though. You might risk burning up your fuel pump.

Not the fuel

What you describe sounds more like the ASR is kicking in to keep you from spinning the wheels and do a 180 in the middle of the street.:boogie

That is exactly what it is. .

GM saw fit to build a performance car with no baffles in the tank except for the little plastic box the pump sock sits in.
Mine does it on a hard straight line launch with less than 1/4 tank ; and I don't have ASR :thumb
