Gee....I wish I had one of those........what is it. :)

(Fuel pump and lever indicator?)

The reason I am replacing mine is...my gage is always reading full. I removed it from the tank and manually moved the lever (float) up and down with no corresponding movement on the gage. So for 306.22 (includes shipping) I think I may have a reliable gas gage soon.

I jsut saw one of those last week when I replaced my fuel pump. It's pretty amazing that all that stuff fits through that little hole in the top of the gas tank.

Wow Jon, I had one of those a while back, but I don't remember it being anywhere near that much bank:crazy
Not that it really materes much since my cars been sittin' in my garage busted all summer:r But I'll tell ya that figure of $306.22 looks pretty damn reasonable to me right now:L I relly hadn't planned on doubling the price of my car in a year. If I'd a known, I'd a bought a car for that much in the first place. But I can say this, It wouldn't have been near as fast as this ones gonna be when I'm done with it:D :beer :J

GoooooodMooooring Moon,:w

How about an update on your engine project!!!

My 383 got pushed back a few weeks due the racing season. The Brazilians dropped the Super Nissan race so we had some schedule rearranging and I lost my September free time. If my luck holds out we will do the swap next month.

Good news. Frankie is getting well over 450hp out of my new lump with the TIPS large tubes and bigmouth base plate and somehow he is doing it at 5500 RPM.:BOW I would have never thought that you could suck air through those long runners that fast.

Bad news. It is killing me to drive the L98 with the stock intake.:puke

Hey SPANISHVETTS,

Wish I could figure out how to post an actual photo, not just a link to a photo, then I could really stay on topic here. Big Brown KNOWS where I live now, I think his truck is on autopilot at this point, and the drivers back is takin' some abuse:grinshot

In answer to your question, The motor is at this very moment sitting just miles from me on the ground at PDX, and I have to wait till tomorrow morning to go get it cause I'm workin' today:bash No big brown for this one. I gotta go get it from Forwardair.

The long saga continues, there will be parts for sale if I can ever get it together. I'm going back with the SR and TPIS bigmouth if I can get the guy to finish the deal with me, so, Bye bye miniram:hb

When things really start to take shape, hopefully in the next few weeks, I will revive the old thread and or start a new one. There'll be plenty of photo's to go around too.

I'm gettin' excited now:J :L Thanks for asking.

Fuel Pump Scare

My 87 died on the interstate the other day... Kept blowing fuse. Eventually pulled the fuel pump and all the electric wires had MELTED together! I'm talking no insulation, bare wires!:blow
