This question may have already been asked, although could not find it. I have a on/off toggle switch in my glove box on my 97 c5 and I do not have a clue as of what it is for. Just wandering if someone could tell me. Just bought my first Vette and still learning all about them. Thanks for any help.

I have a 97 vette and I do not have any switch in the glove box. Maybe previous owner had and after market alarm system installed or some other devices.

battery cut off switch?

if wires are hooked to it, follow them!

Don't touch that switch !!!

sorry...just kidding....no idea what it does :-)

I put a TS in my center console for my antenna but you have a coupe so it can’t be for that.

Yea just what I thought at first, but could not resist nothing happen but have not tried to start it yet, may be a battery cutoff. Or maybe the airbag. But not going to wreck it to find out. Thanks for all the info.

Homemade passenger airbag de-activator (for when your passenger is a child)?
That was it. Drove the car today and when the switch is off the airbag light comes on and stays on. Again THANKS for all the input.

I wish I had that feature on my 99.

97Silvervette, welcome to the CAC.
