HELP! My top is separating from the metal frame. It's flapping in the breeze. What type of adhesive do I need to repair this problem. I don't want to buy a new top.:eek :eek

Talked to a guy a while back with the same problem. Can't help with the glue, but be careful if you use clamps. He wasn't & ruined the weather striping on one side of the top.:cry :cry

Well, guys, several dealers and three body shops said that they could glue it but there would be no warranty. They are telling me that the top was a factory defect and the original owner should have had it replaced under warranty. I did find a bone yard top and cleaned it up for now. I will be getting a smoke/clear top later.

(A couple of the body shops said that they had NEVER seen that happ before.)

The paint store carries adhesives for this. They are expensive and require a special designed caulking gun.
This is gonna sound bubbaish but you can also find a fiberglass/metal adhesive at home depot that works good also. Its made for bath tubs.
