I know this topic has been beat to death but I have one concern about doing a swap into my 1980. Ive been thinking about this for a long time and Im pretty sure I got it all figured out but one thing still bothers me.. how do you set up the VSS on a turbo 400? Ive heard from many people that you can't run the TPI with out the VSS.

thanx

What's VSS? Corvette TPI requires a computer to run it. So do most of the aftermarket TPI I've seen.

You can run without the VSS. I've done it on 2 C3 TPI swaps. :thumb

All you need to do is to crimp the two wires together that go to the VSS.

The downside is that on deceleration... it could stall it out- so you'll need to set your base idle to around 700 rpm. You are welcome to PM me with any C3 swap questions you have!
