I am installing the TPIS headers and high flow cats with x-pipe...Has anyone had any trouble installing these, In particular the header?
After bolting on the driver's side header to the engine block I noticed that the botom no longer lined up. That is to say the tab on the bottom of the header that bolts up to the the rear of the engine area (the forward exhaust hanger) does not line up. The pasanger's side lines up perfectly however.
I can make it work but have to pry the the header over to line up the holes and bolt everything up. Is this normal when installing headers? I am afraid that with tension on the headers from being foced to fit, and with repetitive heating and cooling cycles that something will give and snap or warp. I just hope it would not be the mating surface on the engine block itself.
I'm in the middle of the install as we speak so any quick response from those who have installed these themselves would help me tremendously.
