Would like to replace the stock (chrome) 97-99 wheels with the later model thin spoke wheels. Question: will the tpms(tire pressure sensors) from the earlier wheels swap over to the later wheels or will I have to get new sensors? Thanks in advance for input on this!!

They will fit fine, BUT if they are the originals, you need to install new ones as you are on borrowed time for the batteries! 10 years is about the limit for dependable life from the TPMS sensors. It would be a bitch to get new wheels all mounted up and find out a sensor died two days later... Just saying...

I just put new wheels on the 99 and I had the shop install new sensors. The old ones were original and well past their death date. The down side of new ones is that for 97 - 00 they are crazy expensive. Retail GM part $184.00. Aftermarket are about $110.00. I picked up new sensors for $130.00 each GM Wholesale.
