Took the (untuned) SuperRam'd 86 to Capitol Raceway tonight for a couple of (very warm) runs. Conditions were 90 and humid.

Interesting issue I have with the custom chip from Jeff. For some reason unknown to both of us, it suddenly started giving the overdrive a life of its own. That affected my first two runs, where I'd shift to 3rd (actually, I MISSED third the first time...) and it'd go into OD. That'll ruin your run real quick! These are on street tires, btw, and the car was HOT temp-wise.

Anyway, best 60' time with Jeff's chip was 1.94, best 1/8th was 8.88. Best 1/4 was 14.034 @ 99.13 mph. Eh. All because of the OD.

Went back to the stock chip. Best 60' was 2.19, best 1/8th was 9.02, but best 1/4 was 13.71@105.84 mph. Not too shabby...

That's odd about the OD, missing third will definately ruin your run, first tie I did it it took me a while to figure out where the power went ;LOL What rear end are you running Rich? Those 60' differences are remarkable :crazy

There is a LOT more in there, trust me :beer You damm well better be able to kick Mic's A$$ -- SOON :r

I've got the stock 3.07; was told that with the SR's torque I should stay with it. I do have a 3.45 sitting here that I might install later, or sell. So the way I'm looking at it, the 60' times with Jeff's chip tell me that I should be low 13's if I could keep that up the whole time. I think.

Oddly, I got almost no wheelspin with Jeff's chip, but a lot on one run with the stock one.

Rich,

Those are pretty good numbers.

And I think they'll only get better.:D

Rich,

When will you be satisfied? 12.5? Sub 12?

Probably mid 12's. 11's would be awesome, but I just want to be able to run with modern Vettes.

Oh, and if by AIM you mean AOL Instant Messenger, no I'm not on there...
