Tranny Oil - How Much?

Planning to go to the local BMW shop to buy the 10/60 oil for my '95 6 speed. Just to check, I have read that the capacity is 2.2 quarts. Seems low - is that correct - 3 quarts be enough?

Bill,

2.2 qts. is the recommended fill so 3 qts. will be more than enough. Go to www.zfdoc.com for all info on the ZF6 tranny.
