While driving home this morning my tranny started to make a whining sound and the car started to slow down. I have a 97 auto. At that point I dropped it down into third gear. It was fine until I came to a red light. When I went to take off again it started to make the same whinning sound. I even tryed reverse, the same thing. Any ideas on what the problem is?
