trans and rear end

hello all,quick ? i just bought me 81 corvette about four months ago and as far as i can see with only 66,000 miles on it most is original. could someone tell me in simple terms becouse im still learning about cars what transmission and rear end gear ratio came with the 81 vette .thanks greatly appreciated.
