Transmission problem

I have a 1984 vette automatic,for some reason I dont have 3rd and 4th gear,and it happened all of a sudden,any idea's on what to check,are their relays to the tranny any electrical at all,it cant be the tranny went could it i hope not,,PLEASE HELP my email wwayne90@yahoo.com

Sorry, your symptoms point to the weakest link in a 700R4, sounds like the 3/4 clutch pack is fried, overhaul time.

Thats what i was thinking. I have the same issues with my 93. Got on here for ideas.. Oh well.
