transmission type ?

How do I find out what type transmission I have in my 75 stingray 350 small block ?

I believe you could get this out of the VIN. It can get confusing, but certain numbers tell you certain things. And I think that is one of those things the VIN tells you.

Is it a 4-speed or automatic? L-48 or L-82?

the L-82 should be a 4 bolt main with a turbo 400

Wouldn't it possibly be a 350 though? I'm not sure about that year, though.

TH400 was the only automatic available in 1975.
