I'm in the process of shopping for a used C-7.....When your on the lot looking at the cars is there any tell tell signs to
look for that helps determine the LT1,LT2,LT3 trim packages and the Z51 package?

You may be able to tell if the car is 1-, 2- or 3LT by looking at the RPO information tag. That said, I am not sure where that tag is located on a C7. Various locations to look are: inside of glove box door, inside of console lid or door posts.

As for Z51...that is not a trim package. It's a performance option. It includes a stiffer suspension, an electronic limited slip differential (eLSD), more performance oriented tires on larger wheels* and some cooling enhancements.

*base tires are:p245/40ZR18s, front, and P285/35ZR19s, rear
Z51 tires are: P245/35R19s, front, and P285/30R20s, rear
 
You can always tell a Z51 from the ventilated brake discs.
