Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the B30 indicates the build date.

712: Firethorn Leather Interior

37L: Mahogany Metallic Exterior

I just would like to know what the B30 stands for! Any help on that one?

Thanks in advance!

For 1980 I believe that stands for:
September 30, 1979 build date. You can go to the Wisconsin Corvette Site, they have the NCRS Date Calculator and plug in your VIN to verify the build date, it should be very close ;)

Thanks John.. ;)

I'd like to say I was just seeing if anyone was reading this thread... but that would be a LIE... I'll claim CRS on this one ;)

B30 is the build date, i.e., B=second month of production, 30=30th day of the month.

For '76 the first month of production was Aug 74, so.....Sept 30, 1974 was the build date of the body. Car should have come off the line one to two days later.
