Raining rear end deep to a 10' indian, I drop my door lock transmitter, it breaks open the innards unravel. Just not my day!

Dealer wants $125, got to be a better way!

Any ideas will be appreciated.

You can find them on eBay sometimes for a lot less.

It could have been worse,

you could have ran over it afterward.

See, there's a bright side.

:D

I would try ebay first.

PKE 'door lock transmitter'

Be sure and stay with a '96 or older. The newer ones are totally different, much cheaper, and don't work on '96 and older.

Yeah, I dropped mine to and it exploded!!! The dealer wanted to pillage my pocketbook for one-no way. NEVER shoulda made with that cheap a** plastic anyway.

Here's what I did: With a tube of superglue, tweezers, hatpin and my mom's bifocals, I put that sucker back together!!!! Walked out to my Vette and snick! Door opened!!! Walked away and BOMP!!! Horn sounded, door locked. Just be careful and use the hatpin to apply a small, dabbed smear of glue to one broken piece at a time and don't get it on the little circuit board. The plastic is so cheap, it fused (melted) the pieces together nicely.

Mine broke where it fits on the key ring. Good luck.

PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS.....I DID FINALLY SECURE A PKE TRANSMITTER ON THAT E-BAY SITE....FOR ONLY $75.....CLEAN LIVING DOES PAY OFF.
