Turn Signal Flasher C5 problems

i have heard that you can bypass the turn signal flasher that's in the dash and replace it with one under the sterring column. my turn signals only work at times , then real fast, then not at all. 2000 C-5

Your problem isn't with the flasher, it's probably with the Hazard Switch in the center of the dash.

Yes there is a part you buy and I did and I installed it and it worked great without having to tear the dash off to fix the flasher.....I will look it up and get back to you.....

I have this happen on occassion with my 2000 C-5 as well but all I have had to do is just hit the 4 way flasher once and it goes away. No more than it happens I have just never seen the reason to fix anything, but on that occassion the turn signals just don't respond, one hit of the four way flasher and they work and may not happen for a long time again :eyerole

Huskerman..if you happen to run across this thread...Would your 'fix' solve my problem?? Flasher does not work, right turn signal works occasionally, other wise blinks fast as if a bulb is out. Left turn signal works fine. 99 coupe.

Not positive Otter but I'm betting it might. I know it has worked for a lot of folks who have had the same problems in their C5's.....I sold that car over 2 years ago and talked to the guy who bought it from me recently and asked it all was running well and he said no problems......you might shop around and see if its cheaper anywhere else that link is getting old.......but then so are we all.....
