TV cable adjustment (92 LT1 )

My 92 LT1 TV cable allows very easy adjustment - but all the books and advices I found so far did not say what the correct adjustment is! Most descriptions I found show cables of cars without ASR. With ASR, the right adjustment is obviously more complex. Does anyone have available a clear description how to adjust it?

This is the easiest most concise way I've ever seen it stated. Worked for me.

"1. I push on the reset tab and push the slider as far as I can back towards the tranny. Then release the reset tab.
2. I open the TB all the way. The mechanism ratchets. "

Open the TB by depressing the gas pedal fully.

I don't know what ASR is though.
