Before I start receiving emails - no, I do not have inside information as to what the interior will be finished with so the choices in the poll are simply ones cooked up in my head. :)

Leather, polished aluminum, and graphite (CARBON FIBER) for me. It would have to be high quality leather though, or at least a lot better than that of the C5.

I agree. The leather that they use in the C5 must come from weak cows. When they found they were having problems with the bolster section wearing, they simply made it out of vinyl. After sitting in the Crossfire and 350Z, GM needs to step up to the plate and give us a MUCH better interior made form high grade leather and better textured plastic with brushed aluminum accents. Just my 2 cents.

If this was true, wouldn't one of the choises be "scrambled eggs"? ;LOL

High grade leather is a must, minimal but upgraded plastic, brused aluminum is ok, as I stated before I'm a woodgrain type of guy so I feel it should be an option. Leave the vinyl for the low buget or the old school rides. I also think they should offer two tone variations like the Vette Essentials work or that ZO6 seat.

I voted leather only because that was the best choice of the bunch.

I'm not fond of plastic, vinyl, aluminum and faux wood in most cars. It's just too tacky for me.

The Corvette is a world-class sports car and should have either a luxuriously appointed, top-quality interior or a business-like yet high-quality interior. Anything else is doing a disservice to the marque.

I like leather, and some other accents to go with it to give it a nice modern looking inertior. Plus it will give the interior some color.

Yeah........What he says!;stupid :)

I've heard the CTS V series has suede in a portion of the leather seat to improve seating for hard cornering..

I think we could use something similiar in the C6..

I think the bolsters need to be improved.

Aluminum or carbon fiber would look cool but its not necessary.

Just improve the seats for high performance.

I have no suggestions for a solution, but something needs to be done to improve the wear rate of the side bolsters. When I look at used C5s this is always the greatest worn area. Frequently there is either a hole in the bolster, or it is apparent that a new cover has been installed.

i would like to see HIGH quality leather accented with either AL trim or carbon fiber or both.

well i have you slightly beat, I was at a gas station in CA (LA area) and we were in the rented malibu, I went over to take a pic of this guys new Ferarri and he had just sat down and he insisted that I get in to have my picture taken in it...the leather was SOO soft and it smelled really good...now GM should take a look at those and then pick their leather choice from quality between the Ferarri and C5 but more towards the Ferarri

I made a post under other cars and people have looked but nobody responded but I stated that the interior in the new Maserati is as nice as they get and GM needs to step it up to that level go to the website and check it out Maseratiusa.com.

hahahaha thats a good one indeed! I just DUMPED my 2001 Tahoe for a Chrysler product. I can not imagine how Chrysler offers such high quality materials and GM cant for the same money. After owning this Chrysler I may never buy another GM product again. I can't wait to see the faces on GM execs when I pull up at the plant in my Shiny new Chrysler! :)

So Ross, what exactly do you do for work at the plant?

You could call me an independent consultant......(what I do for them is really a second job for me) :dance

corvettecrazy.......I know what you mean about the leather in the Ferrari. My sister's friend showed up at our restaurant with a brand new Ferrari two days ago.It is a 2003 Ferrari Modena (red of caurse). The seats are so comfortable and spatious yet they hug you like nothing else I've ever driven in.I also was lucky enough to ride in a 1992 348 this summer and let me tell you the leather is just as smooth even though it is 11 years old and has 7000 miles of smiling on the odometer....I love corvettes but when someone mentions the word Ferrari my shorts grow a bulge. The attention Ferraris get is uncomprehensable. In june(around the time the F1 circus came to town) my buddy took his 348 for a spin and I was lucky enough to be in the passenger seat. When we drove up a tight street he brought up the first gear to about 6000 rpm and the sound that came out the back was just amazing. He even set off 3 car alarms while going by.At one point a police car pulled beside us and asked my buddy to show him what the" Italian horses under the hood could" do.My buddy leaned over and said"yeah right so you can pull me over to slap me with a ticket and get a few laughs"The policeman told him that he never saw a Ferrari like his take-off.Guess what happened...My buddy let him have it and the policeman pulled us over.No ticket though,he just wanted to thank my buddy and shake his hand. What a cool cop.Nothing ever happened to me like that in my vette....lol.......Seriously I doubt we can get the quality leather that Ferrari's get basically because of the cost.Maybe one day they will offer a SUPERVETTE to compete with those Italian SUPERCARS.
