Vibration and no horn
Again. u joints all look perfect although the trobleshooting section of my Haynes manual describes my symptom as a bad u joint. It seems like the play (very tiny bit, but some, perhaps 1 mm) is coming from the yoke going in the back of the transmission. Again it's not leaking. I suppose a bad motor mount/transmission mount would allow anopugh flex to rub the beam between the tranny and diff. Why do you have to remove the distributor cap to check the motor mounts (Hayne's)? Guess I'll rebuild the throttle body and repace the plugs while the snow melts, but out here I probably have til April.
Still working on that horn too. Does anybody know where the horn relay is and how you check a bad horn? I run a hot wire to it from the battery and get nothing. Am I doing it wrong? You'd think it would already be grounded.
